Images of the Studio

Been in our new studio now for about 8 months and it still feels very exciting. I consider it a constant work in process as we keep adding new coloured walls and eclectic areas for shooting. It's really is a great place to shoot. I was testing the camera over the weekend and took a shot of the white room. I realised their are no images of the new studio on the web site. So Jason our new assistant photographer at the studio quickly ran round and took some quick shots last thing on Sunday after our model day. Project for July is to take more shots of both studio rooms one & two whilst in use and get them on the web site. Studio two had been used all day and was really messy so did not photograph that area. Wayne

Image of the month for May 2011

Again apologies for the lack of blogging over the past 6 weeks but not sure whats happening. The studio has gone absolutely photo mad since the start of the year. So my priority has been to keep on top of shooting, creativity and editing. There could be an answer to this blogging thing though in the arrival of a lap top today, hence 3 blogs in succession! Two Images for image of the month (cheating!)

I like square images and this heavy crop gives the landscape and flowers space while also bringing the bride and groom close together giving more intensity.

Love the action and the composition of 'Mini' leading the way in this shot straight out of the camera.

Ross & Louise's Wedding 28/5/11

I met Louise a few times before the big day & she is absolutely lovely. Her dress for me was a dream to photograph (I loved the texture, it added depth to the white) and with the hair up the whole look was fantastic! On this day I didn't only have a bride and groom to photograph but their was also 'Mini' the dog who was guest of honour. This wedding was in Chesterfield at Redwing Hall. It will go down as one of my most memorable services with lots of male banter,add in the dodgy cd player & the entrance of a blue tit half way through the ceremony (lots of belly laughs all round!). Really great day Joss loved the stage with the boys and Louise just revelled in the whole day. Producing a wedding portfolio in the next couple of weeks and will add some extra edited images to the blog when done. Great Day! (Adding Image of Mini to picture of the month next) Wayne

Joss & Emma's Wedding 27/5/11

Hi & welcome to the images of Joss and Emma. You might notice that there are maybe a few more images of the bride than normal in this blog. I like to spread the 10 or 12 images from the wedding across the whole spectrum of the event. Due to there being so many lovely shots of Emma throughout the day I have decided that they should take centre stage over the guest reportage images and pictures of flowers and churches etc. Enjoy the pictures of a lovely bride on a lovely day at Norwood Park.
